Registration for courses in Part 1 (Oshawa) is available on our Adult Day School registration page.  

Adult Dual Credit

Ethics in Daily Life 

Prepare for a nursing or health related program at college by taking a college course with a Durham college instructor - Ethics in Daily Life.

Dates

Session 1: October 5 to January 13
Session 2: February 10 to May 17

Format

Classes will take place two evenings/week and will be a combination of in-class learning on the Durham College Oshawa Campus and online learning with teacher support.

Program Details

  • Students can earn a credit toward their high school diploma and a college credit on a college transcript, free of charge.
  • Access career counselling from the college and assistance with the college application.
  • To qualify, students must be registered in the Personal Support Worker Program or in a credit program with Adult and Continuing Education, and be working toward the Ontario Secondary School Diploma.

Please note: This program is pending approval.  Check back in September 2021 for details on how to register for the adult dual credit.

University Pathway

Flexible options are available for students who cannot attend Adult Day classes or who require University preparation courses.  Classes are available though:

Students who would like to earn their Ontario Secondary School Diploma and/or prepare for a health care related post-secondary program can book an appointment to discuss a plan to meet the diploma requirements.
