As part of Summer School programming for the 2025-2026 school year, and in partnership with EF Educational Tours, four Travel for Credit course options are available to secondary school students across the board. When enrolling in a Travel for Credit course, students in the Durham Catholic District School Board will have the unique opportunity to earn academic credits through a combination of traditional and experiential learning. Students will complete a part of their learning in-person and continue their instruction while traveling under the supervision of the teacher hired by the board.
Grade 11 Environmental Science (SVN3M) - Summer 2026
Destination: Costa Rica
Course Dates: February 18, 2026 to June 1, 2026 - remote learning
Monday and Wednesday evenings 5:30 p.m. - 9:00 p.m.
Travel Dates: July 8, 2026 - July 16, 2026 (proposed - may change slightly)
Summer Travel for Credit Registration Form
Both the EF Tour Registration and Summer Travel for Credit Registration form must be completed.
Grade 12 Canadian International Politics (CPW4U)
Destination: France, Germany, Austria, Czechia and Poland
Course Dates: June 29, - July 23, 2026
Travel Dates: July 8 - July 20, 2026
Summer Travel for Credit Registration Form
Both the EF Tour Registration and Summer Travel for Credit Registration form must be completed.
Step One:
Students must complete the registration form (linked in the details above). Submit a copy of the registration form to your Guidance Department for approval. You will also require an Administrator's signature. The signed form can be sent to us by email: credit.reg@dcdsb.ca
Step Two:
Once the registration form has been received, parents/guardians can complete the EF Tour registration.
