Red Cross Training

As a Canadian Red Cross Training provider, Archbishop Anthony Meagher CCEC is pleased to offer the following courses to current DCDSB students.  The courses are taught by a certified OCT teacher who is also a Red Cross instructor.

Stay Safe! Training Course

Empower your child with essential life skills with the Stay Safe! course for youth ages 9 to 11. This course provides children with the knowledge and skills they need to stay safe when they are away from their parents or guardians, both at home and in their communities.  To enrol, your child must be at least 9 years old or have completed Grade 3.

Babysitting Training Course

Are you a young person between 12 and 14 looking to learn basic first aid and caregiving skills? Become a responsible and skilled babysitter and provide care to children of different ages with the Babysitting course. The Babysitting course teaches youth essential skills to prevent and respond to emergencies. You will learn how to recognize and prevent unsafe situations, make safe choices and promote safe behaviours. Moreover, you will also learn how to feed, diaper, dress, and play with children and babies.

To enrol, your child must be at least 12 years of age (or completion of Grade 6).
