Stay Active and Engaged This Summer: Register for the DCDSB Multi-Sports Camp!
Looking for a fun, structured, and free summer opportunity for your child? The Durham Catholic District School Board (DCDSB) Multi‑Sports Camp is a fantastic option for students entering or completing Grades 6 to 8, offering an active way to build skills, confidence, and friendships while staying engaged during the summer months.
Open to All DCDSB Students in Grades 6–8
All students currently in Grades 6, 7, or 8 are welcome to participate. No prior sports experience is required. The program is designed to be inclusive and supportive, ensuring that every student feels comfortable trying new activities and developing new skills in a positive environment. Families can take advantage of multiple weekly sessions, allowing students to attend the Multi‑Sports Camp for more than one week if they wish.
What Students Will Experience
Students will participate in a variety of recreational and athletic activities that promote:
- Leadership and teamwork
- Physical literacy and fitness
- Positive peer relationships
- Community connection
The program also integrates literacy and numeracy skill‑building through hands‑on, experiential learning activities, helping students strengthen academic skills in a relaxed and engaging setting.
The camp is led by a dedicated team that includes a DCDSB teacher, trained Grade 11 and 12 student leaders, and a DCDSB Coach/Advocate for Black Students (CABS). This collaborative approach ensures students are supported, encouraged, and inspired throughout the program.
