HOSPITALITY AND TOURISM TRAINING PROGRAM

Semester 2 - November 14 to January 26, 2018

Location: Ajax Campus - 458 Fairall Street, Unit 7

Material Cost:  $195.00

Earn 3 credits toward OSSD and gain on-the job experience!

Class Schedule (Monday - Friday)

In Class Training                          8:30 am - 11:00 am       

Co-op Placement Experience    11:00 pm - 4:00 pm            

The Hospitality and Tourism Certificate Program is a 10 week program that provides students with an opportunity to:

  • Learn about the food and beverage services sector of the tourism industry
  • Learn how to prepare, present, and serve food
  • Develop an understanding of the fundamentals of providing high-quality service
  • Ensure customer satisfaction and the components of running a successful event or activity
  • Develop an awareness of health and safety practices and career opportunities in the food and beverage services sector
  • Prepare for employment or post-secondary hospitality programs

Certifications Include:
Service Excellence, Safe Food Handling, Smart Serve, WHMIS

Career Opportunities Include:
Hospitality and Tourism:  conference centre, cruise ship, event or sport venue, hotel, gaming/casino, golf course, recreation services, resort, restaurant.  Many other career options are available.
