Building STEM Skills at Coding and Robotics Camp

Posted On Thursday July 04, 2019

Students in Grades 6, 7, and 8 are participating in Durham Catholic’s Coding and Robotics summer camp at Monsignor Paul Dwyer Catholic High School. The program is a fun, hands-on experience with a focus on literacy and numeracy. The week long camp teaches students the basics of coding, robotics and STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math).

Students are learning how to solve problems, be innovative, test and redesign their robotics and test again; all while being exposed to a vast vocabulary of coding, computing and robotics.

The camp is part of Archbishop Anthony Meagher Catholic Continuing Education Centre’s Summer programs that helps prepare students for 21st century jobs.
