Students Enhance their Numeracy Skills during the Summer Cooking Camp

Students in Grade 6, 7 and 8 are enhancing their numeracy skills while learning to cook at the Archbishop Anthony Meagher Catholic Continuing Education Centre’s Cooking Camp offered at Father Leo J. Austin Catholic Secondary School. This popular camp teaches students the importance of measuring ingredients, scaling recipes or converting measurements when making substitutions all while learning to cook nutritious meals.

“This camp is great,” said Aidan, a student enroled in the Cooking Camp. “I’m learning how to make so many food dishes. Everything from pasta with homemade tomato sauce to strawberry jam.”
