Avoiding summer brain drain and staying engaged in one’s learning is at an all-time high at Archbishop Anthony Meagher Catholic Continuing Education Centre. With programs being offered at various Durham Catholic District School Board’s elementary and secondary schools across Durham Region, students have plenty of options to pick from for their summer learning.

“We have seen an 20% increase in summer school enrolment this year,” said Jim Wilson, Principal of the Archbishop Anthony Meagher Catholic Continuing Education Centre.

Students are participating in a variety of programs such as e-Learning, Accelerated courses, Credit Recovery courses, Reach Ahead courses – plus non-credit classes such as our popular Elementary Language program, Transitioning to Grade 9 Head Start and Grade 7 and 8 Literacy and Numeracy focused camps that includes Sports, Cooking, Robotics and more. Keeping summer learning fun and interesting!
